when i try to connect my laptop(toshiba tecra A7) with the console.a very noizy bzzzzzzz starts.if the laptop is not plugged and only works by the battery then no problem. one time that i faced that problem after some hours was fixed by itself.anybody had the same problem?or know how to fix it?

It is a very common problem , laptops are not earthed so therefore you need a ground loop isolator for each channel , it connects between your sound card output and console, mixer,etc , this are available at most electronic retailers and only cost a few pounds .

Or, just go to your local store and buy one of those adapters that are for a 3 prong plug into a 2 prong outlet. It it has a wire, cut it off, if it has a little tab, put some tape over it. I've been doing that for almost 15 years.

Also, where does the adapter go exactly. Between wht two points of contact?
i.e., Between the strip and the wall, between the laptop and the strip, between the mixer and the wall, between the mixer and the strip, or some combination of these?
