You will get the usual "Real djs dont need those features" reply.. hehe
"We only need vinyl control" ... (and next they ask for new features that VDJ have in a new post..hehe)

We don't "only" need vinyl control, but real turntablists DO need it to be first and foremost.

As i've said before, VDJ/VV's video and ALL other features will ONLY be bonuses that will be appreciated IF the TCV's and response/handling is as good as SSL, if not better.

Fortunately, anewsome's and others' feedback on those 2 issues seem pretty convincing in that Atomix has caught up to Rane SSL in those respects. =)

And a bit of Mac is better than PC might come too .. ;)

I hate it when threads turn into that debate. ;)

Guess they are a bit similar. Both of then have built brand-loyalty to sillyness, where the fanboys cant even admitt there are flaws with both... mac and ssl.. hehe

Yes, SSL has flaws...

What?...

I didn't see anything about Macs having flaws or "fanboys", that's why I didn't comment on it.

I have "selective vision" I guess. =P

And if I have a say, VDJ too will start working on its branding and image;)

We are already trying to do that... Wev'e tried unofficially for a long time... Because VDJ IS an excellent DJing software!

I can't emphasize how important this is. There's a reason that Rane sponsors renowned turntablists like members of the Beat Junkies: http://www.rane.com/dj/beatjunk.html

If only we could get some well established as well as up and coming names here in the U.S. to support VDJ/VV.

Are Dave, Jason, Chris, and Nazareth the only 4 members of that world famous Beat Junkie crew?

Just wondering.

YEAH.....DJSARGE

I THINK DAT... SO MUCH FOCUS IS PLACED... ON THE US... AND EUROPE. .DAT NO ONE REALIZES
THAT THE USE OF VIRTUAL DJ IN THE CARIBBEAN IS BIG

SO BIG.. THAT MOST OF THE STUDENTS IN SCHOOL ARE HOOKED ON IT.................

ALSO..... THERE IS A NEW TREND OF MOBILE SOUNDS.... CARS... VANS.. SUVS.. THAT ARE PLAYING FROM LAPTOPS..... ALL USING VIRTUAL DJ

JUST DAT THEY HAVE THE DEMO.. CRACKED AND USING.... SO VIRTUAL MAY NOT BE AWARE OF HOW MANY USERS THERE ARE...........

IT IS SAFE TO SAY HEAR THAT MANY OF THE YOUTHS IN THE CARIBBEAN OVER THE NEXT 2 YEARS... THAT ARE IN THE MUSIC.. WILL BE USING... VIRTUAL DJ FOR A LOT OF THINGS.........

PROBLEM IS THAT A LOT OF THEM STILL USE THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE TO OPERATE.... SINCE CONTROLLERS, ASIO SOUND CARDS.... MIDI CONTROLLERS, VINYLS ETC... ARE NOT MARKETED HERE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN

ASK THE QUESTION... WHAT IS SSL.... THEY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE

MANY OF THE TOP DJS I KNOW... HAVE BEEN TOLD... THAT SSL IS THE WAY TO GO.........BUT THEY ARE COMING TO THE REALIZATION.... SEEING ME PLAY.... DAT VIRTUAL DJ....... IS KING

I HAVE AT LEAST 5 GUYS IN ONE RADIO STATION......... READY TO VIRTUAL............ JUST A MATTER OF TIME

What's with the all CAPS - no need to SHOUT.
But your whole vdj versus ssl argument is invalid if according to you the majority of users are using the cracked version -that really does not benefit vdj any. They don't know what ssl is because the can't download to use( without the SL1 soundcard).

hey xgl_dj

sorry about dem cap locks

what i was trying to say is that in the caribbean.... ordering online is next to nil....getting an international credit card is very difficult to do.... and in most cases requires a vast amount of cash at the bank.

No paypal...etc..... cannot buy virtual dj out of a box in any store either........... Full stop is this... without these...... conveniences... it is difficult.....

even obtaining $US dollars requires days in advance to the banks....

Also... getting the necessary hardware....... is even more futile

If it was not for virtual teamer mp3jrick........... i would still have been without the necessary equipment

and he is all the way in massachussets..... I have had to rely on him quite a bit......

it required a great deal of trust on his part.... and all this happened through questions posted on the forum to which he responded.... Not many persons would have helped the way he did.

I am pretty sure if there was a solution... or someone with a market in these parts.... for virtual.... then... a lot of them would be registered users.....

although it may not help virtual dj in terms of dollars received........... but still the fact is.... it is being used............. and quite a lot

i am wondering............ is it possible to purchase..........vdj online with the purpose of marketing? back to others........ lets say..... i purchase.... a couple online downloads..............separate..........could i then turn it over to my friends... and then they become the legal owners of the software???? Of course they would have to refund money for purchases...??

what u think?

This entire thread sucks! It doesn't take skills to mix with software alone. My seven year old daughter can do that. Using these software's with vinyl or cd turntables takes practice, and skills need to be developed. If you're only using software you're no better than a human jukebox.lol....You know good and well, you with only your software setup next to a real dj and his tables, with or without software, would be your worst nightmare.lol...
