Sujet Video out of sync

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi can anyone help me, I am having major problems resolving the sync of video & audio. When I look at a ripped vob file on my pc monitor it is perfectly aligned, but watch ing it on screen there is a delay of a second, enough to notice the lips dont match up. I am using VD 4.2 My pc spec is very high grade as listed :

Windows XP Home
Intel CPU Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz
Geil® Ultra DDR2 2.0GB PC6400
XpertVision GeForce 7900GS 256MB DDR3
500 GB Western Digital Caviar SATA2 7200rpm 16MB cache Hard Drive

I have nothing else running in the background on this machine. I have also changed the proformance setting as recommended in the forums but with not luck. Also all of my files play perfect in other players.

Many thanks for you time reading this!

Try running VDJ on 1 Core --

After starting VirtualDJ go to the Windows Task Manager - Processes tab -- right click on the virtualdj.exe process and "affinity" should be present with options to select CPU0 or CPU1. Choose a CPU then see how things work?

i had the same problem
very powerful laptop, but...
audio and video would get of sync after a couple of minutes
that's like 3&1/2 months ago
dj-in-norway told me to change the color depth from 32bit to 16bit
taraaaaaa~~~
working perfect after i changed the depth... unbelievable...

i didn't try out what cstoll told you
1st time i heard of that
i will give it a try and let you know...
maybe another solution for me, too...

cheers,
matt

happy VDJing~~~

But you will loose in general and decompression speed if you only use one CPU. I only use this system to debug dual core problems but i disadvise.

Matt did you notice an increase in performance with this as well. Also did you notice if the videos look different that in 32???

HI,

How is encoded your audio - CBR or VBR mode (CBR= Constant bit rate / VBR = Variable...)

In case is encoded in VBR, usualy video and audio are out of sync. Try to encode the audio part in CBR.
