Sujet High CPU usage problem....

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I've got VDJ installed on my laptop with no problems (which is nice!),

but now I've made a second partition, because the first one has lots of other programs on, etc.

The strange thing is that on the orignal partition VDJ runs at about 4% cpu when it's idle.
But on the new partition it sits at around 20% when it's idle.

I guess that there's some tweak i've made with the first installation that i haven't made with the second one, but I can't think what. :(

Just to finish the story, I've just re-formatted the second partition and put vista on it to since i heard that vista is better with videos. All seems to be fine, but still a higher cpu useage when its idle.

Any suggestions what I might have forgotten?

Thanks. :)

On my backup work PC, the PCU was working too hard after a bunch of updates. Turned out to be something with Windows media Player 11. I rolled it back to 10 and the PCU consumption goes back to normal
