Will this lappy handle video?
Mac pro duo
2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1440 x 900 pixels
2GB memory
120GB hard drive1
6x double-layer SuperDrive
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 256MB SDRAM
I was hoping someone out there was either using this or knows someone who has... I don't want to drop around 3g's and find out that I can't play video on it....
Thanks guys,
DJ Mas

Yes, hardware wise that's fine.
I've been mixing videos using my MacBook Pro Core Duo (not Core 2), 1.83 GHz, 2 GB's ram, and 128Mb VRam x1600.
You'll do well with that config. =)

I would like to add that my MacBook(Black) with shared memory so far handles video perfectly.
So a MacBook Pro would certainly kick ass...

ConQuest have you installed VDJ for Mac yet? What could be causing this font problem?

I'm installing it tonight.
I'll check it out and report back asap.

The funny thing is, I don't have the "font-problem" and I seem to be the only one.
Could this be because I'm running Numark Cue and not VDJ?
Dev.team should try this to see if there's any difference in these two versions...

Yup. I agree.
I just installed VDJ Mac and have the font problem as well.
Could very well have something to do with some difference between Cue and VDJ if you're saying you're not having the issue.
I just asked for a response from dev team in regards to this.

Que is out for Mac too?
Posté Mon 02 Apr 07 @ 2:05 am
Cue and VDJ are both out for mac :)

If you have VDJ Pro, can you purchase Cue for a discounted price?
Posté Mon 02 Apr 07 @ 2:10 am
why would you want to do that?

Its the SAME program ;)
If you are thinking of the font working in Cue and not VDJ, thats just a matter of compiling, where the Cue probably have the fonts included.. .
But its still the same program ..
And Dev team is back tomorrow, so will be a fix update then I bet ;)

I would love to showcase VDJ Mac at the new weekly Monday night spot I'm doing with Ice and other Stacks Vinyl staff ( http://www.rasushi.com/ ), but I'd better not risk it. =P
They're all gonna be excited to finally see VDJ on Mac though!
Oh yeah, for any locals, we're at the RaSushi in Torrance (Del Amo Mall).
Free all night, great bar service, great music/visual mixing (reggae), and great crowd, so come on through!
