Mixing videos works but the transitions is not smooth the sound skips and im expectig its my laptop, I ripped my videos as MPEG2, that seems to be the best for me, VDJ works great playing 1 video, when I play the next one and start to fade thats when I see the problems.

Im running a Dell Pentium M, 1.73GHz, 1Gig Ram, windows XP - Not the greatest I know, but stable audio and TCV use

Try unlinking the audio and video crossfader and just click on the preview window you want to fade to assuming you are usin the default skin. But remember if you are going to automix to set it back to linked and when I am automixing I use the Satelite Boom transition as you cant really tell the jumps.

Just curious...is your problem where the next video starts bleeding/strobing in as soon as you hit the play button?

I'm having the same problem and my lappy is a dell 2 gig processor and a 256mb nvidoa geforce card. my video cross fader and audio crossfader are NOT linked.

So far no one has been able to solve this one and I'm reluctant to giving vista a try.

Activate the option "Decode while hidden". It will improve the video transition if your computer can support it.

Mzack "Not the best" is not a brand name?
What is the exact brand name of your video card?
You may have the same as me?

Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family - this is listed 2 times

I downloaded th elatest vercion from Dell which was reccomended, my version is this:

I am afraid that this video card wont cut it in XP, I dunno if upgrading to Vista is going to help either. Some say that in Vista these onboard cards may work, but I dunno and have had bad luck with Vista so I went back to XP and continue to have problems.

For what it is worth you might want to look into building a shuttle pc instead of a laptop. The ability to upgrade is there and also not having to hook up portable hds is a plus.

I disagree. 3u Rackmount case, takes all full size cards and is nice for building into your case. Take a look at my blog for some pics.
