Hi,
This is all new to me. Been mixing at home with 1210mk2 and small clubs for about 12 years. Just loaded up the software and learning to use it. My question can you listen to the 2 tracks that you are going to mix in headphones before you mix them, like getting the timing right using turntables and mixer and preveiw what the mix is going to sound like.
cheers jim

Yes, you need either an external usb soundcard or, a surround sound card for your PC. Then its just a matter of setting it up in the sound options of the Config menu. I hope this helps.

You should consider only sound cards that have 2 stereo inputs for Timecode use like:
Creative Audigy or X-Fi
ESI Maya 44 USB
ESI U46DJ
there are more, search the forum here.
Hope to see ya soon with us ;)

Would a sound card do with only 1 stereo input do as i've just looked at this timecoding and it all goes over my head at the mo. I'm just happy using my pc and lappy at the mo.

Yes, the Timecode is signal used to control VDJ via real vinyls or cd's in players. I think you can control both decks with one line input but not at the same time. If you wanna, you can get some controller for start like Hercules Dj Console MK2, later you can use Timecode since this console has 2 inputs.

Cheers DJ-ALF I'm sort of getting it now. I'm going to have a look at that DJ console (surpose it has a built in sound card) you have advised. Now all I have to do is do some practicing and save some pennies. My poor old 1210s will start feeling lonely.
Thanks for all your help.
