K, so on my laptop, I have vdj 4.3
Just recently bought a maya 44 usb, and already had the gen 3 tcv(s)
Plugged up the maya, installed drivers off of cd, went into vdj, and selected maya under soundcard drop down menu.
K, heres the deal.
If I have timecode OFF, then the output through my mixer sounds good. Effects work, everything is great. However. The second that I enable timecodevinyl, while having a tcv playing in the in(s) on the maya, and having the gounds going to the mixer, it won't recognize that theres timecode at all, BUT the damn timeline will move. It won't move like tis sopposed to, it moves like someone who smokes alot is holding the record, giving it a 'jitter' sound. The funny thin is if I give the tcv a good backspin, then the timelike will move as such, and backspin! In the timecode settings, the frequency waves are jumoing all around, but it says its getting 0% timecode. I try to hit autoconfig, and it says 'no timecode found' Even though its jumping around.
I've tried switching to 'asio' instead of 'maya usb' in the config, but I get the same result every time. I even put the latency to auto, and the slidder all teh way to the left, and once over, and still I ge the SAME DAMN REACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a huge gig on sunday, and I want some time to practice, I never really used vdj with timecodes, and now that I have all the hardware jsut sitting there, its very frustrating. I am sorry for the double post, I posted this topic in general area, and people have been helpful, but i'm hoping to get some help from a tech from vdj to help me, or someone who has experienced this before.
Thanx in advance, i'll be checking both posts very often, through out the day.
Oh yea, and if you want to know what that 'jitter' thingy I was telling you about sounds like, heres a recording of me enabling timecode.

This is a song playing in the regular maya mode, external mixer, no TCV, then me enabling the tcv, and giving it a few good backspins. (Funny, when i give it a 'back'spin, the timeline actually moves forward.)
