Yah why is that? Virtual DJ is pretty sick for all genres, not just electro/techno/house kinda stuff. Been using it for almost 3 years now and it's been good to me mixing rock/retro/hiphop/electro. Just started going professional and I've looked at the other options, and they just don't have the same features.

i'm from waterloo canada and i'd say the top songs for Hip Hop i like to play is :

Fuck You by Pharoahe Monch
Lyrics to Go (Remix) by A Tribe Called Quest
U Crazy by Beatnuts
I Don't Care by The Roots
Dope Boy Fresh by 3-Six Mafia

the most pop songs here are the standard Timbaland / Throw Some D's / Mims / TI / etc. stuff

I also like the crossover mashup stuff with Rock/Electro. Ultimate Satisfaction by Ludacris is an obvious mix from Satisfaction from Benassi, which is a great way to go from somthing faster ~130 BPM to something slower in the middle of the night that keeps ppl going.

Big ups so am I :) I'm glad to see the Canadian DJ's spinning homegrown stuff, the club DJ's in Toronto keep it on a Southern Hip-Hop/RnB profile ...ugh..

I never understood that - even back in the 90's when I was living in Toronto - rock was living large - all the local rock clubs were playing britsh/american rock - gorups like the tea party/ our lady peace/ finger 11 were getting shut out in they're own Home.

I see from your post that not much has changed.

too bad - meastro/ginuine/kardinal rock the mic.

Real talk, but there are a lot of new similar MC's coming up in Toronto now, such as Daetona, Blessed, Trinity Chris, Adam Bomb, JD Era, Drake, I.R.S....etc ...we need to put Canada on the map !
