I have just installed Vertual Dj on my lap top and it plays Vob files & Mpeg files no problem. It plays Avi files in windows media player but it just gives a black screen in Vertual Dj. I have installed every type of codec know to man and no joy...... Can any one help me i have a massive GIG this friday and it would take weeks to convert all my files to mpeg......................
I have also tryed changing the Avi from Video decorder to avi windows media play in the options tab and guess what no joy HELP............

Make sure you choose the Windows MediaPlayer video decoder -- if you choose the other one [General Windows MediaPlayer audio decoder] it won't work.

AVI file are not decoded into the video card and the cstoll solution work but the decoding use a lot of CPU, if you want to mix video without problems use only MPEG 1 or 2 file and try to enable the Hardware accellerator in video option.
