New controller:
It looks like Numark Total Control but has less buttons and knobs.
Should be cheap but there is no price yet.

ION is NUMARKs test/low price branding. The iCUE will never release as it was brought into the NUMARK branding as the Total Control. Irony that it was to be called the iCUE - maybe related to the CUE software, any way - you won't see a price.

iCUE won't hit the streets.

I think it would as it was removed from the site and now it is back again modified so it makes sense to me ;)

You know I think you are right ! - When comparing the graphics it looks like about 50% of the controls are missing from the surface. The whole effects / loop section is missing - the Headphone Vol and Mix knobs are missing from the middle. There is a button from above the pitch faders. There are allot a key buttons missing so it will be a very very basic controller.

Yeah, something like that cheap Numark MIDI mixer just you have jogs here which is nice. We will see, but I think it will not cost more than 100-120$.

What mixer from Numark are you talking about?
Posté Mon 30 Jul 07 @ 5:11 am
Numark DM950USB or similar, all they need are jogs to be a controller.

Don't think I am understanding. The DM950USB is not MIDI - it has 2 built in soundcards - so the combination of the DM950USB and iCUE would make a good combination - but I would invest in the TotalControl because of it's expanded support of more MIDI functions.

This is official word from numark.
The total control (released)
Fully midi and hid device works with cue/vdj and other midi software.
Icue (not released)
non midi hid only
only works with cuele/vdj/cue
less features
so there you have it.

Is a good controller, however it hasn't a dedicated internal soundcard :)
Posté Thu 02 Aug 07 @ 7:54 pm
Yep, that's why I expect to be cheap ;)
Posté Thu 02 Aug 07 @ 9:38 pm
If is not more than $250, I'll get one in order to check if works fine hehe :)
Posté Fri 03 Aug 07 @ 5:44 pm
