Maya 44 USB (asio4all vs native asio)

here's what I want to do,

I have a laptop and the maya44usb it has 4 output channels
but i want to use a seperate channel for samples (The laptop soundcard)

I know the asio4all supports joining putting multiple soundcards together to make one
virtual Card with multiple channels,

has anyone tried this? does it hurt performance?

well it depends on the settings you choose , if you use more than one card the latency increases

however asio for all usualy handles it well

if you set the latency to auto on performance it should be ok however
