It is cheaper to put it yourself, just buy external case and put hdd inside and thats it.

and my advice is to buy a case with a fan so that the circuits on the drive dont melt

Betta with the power adapter supply too rather than the 2.5 inch which is usb power:)
 
hum the size relates to harddrives

3.5 - desktop harddrive

2.5 - laptop drive
 
A 3.5" would be best as the drives run faster and are cheaper than the 2.5" laptop versions. If you do build it yourself, try and get a caddy with Firewire or eSata support. Neither are required, although both are better than usb. However, you'll find very few non-desktop machines (if any) will actually support eSata without extra hardware.

This one looks pretty good, although you can go as cheap as $10 if you needed to.
