Virtual folders are staying in place thanks to DJRogerBorges
External drive is showing up config> browser thanks to Cstoll and DJ in norway
And all seems to be working
For the database issue we copied "virtualDJ database V5" into my external drive and renamed it to "VirtualDJ Local Database V5"
That made my external show up in the confi. menu
With the disappearing virtual folder file i went in and disabled UAC in vista - i thought i had already done this but upon double checking i realized i had not.
I have only tested it for a short while but so far all looks good.
Will post again with final outcome later on
