I have installed the Hercules Mk2 and its updated drivers. The headphone output sounds fine but the RCa output to the main speakers has a loud hiss. How do I fix this? It is plugged into the laptop usb.

OK, I had an adapter to have 2 1/4 inch ends into one. This went int the back of one powered speaker while the MK2 had the RCA outs. When I took the adapter out of the equation there was NO more hiss.
This has never had all of that noise when I went from a CD player with that adaptor.
