I actually bought the G2S-A1 about 6 weeks ago and am happy with it.

Do you use it to mix videos?

I am looking for a laptop myself and judging from what I have read, that video card might not cut it (I am only speaking from personal preference). I am looking at something like this:

http://web.eurocom.com/EC/ec_model_config1(1,189,0)

Superb 17.1-inch Widescreen Display; WXGA (1440x900) Glossy; WUXGA (1920x1200) Glossy Surface; or WSXGA+ 1680x1050 with Matte Surface

DIVINE-X M770RU. With Intels latest Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo processor

# Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Extreme Mobile; up to 2.60GHz; 4M L2 cache
# DirectX10 support with nVidia GeForce 8700GTX
# Modular, upgradeable VGA; 512MB Nvidia GeForce Go7950GTX, GeForce Go8700GT or in the future Quadro FX1600M
# up to 4GB of high performance memory up to DDR2-800
# up to 250GB of high performance 7200rpm SATA-300 hard drive; optional SSD Solid State Drive
# DVI port with Dual-Link support
# Wireless: WLAN 802.11n or 802.11abg and Bluetooth ver 2.0
# Full-size 102-keys keyboard; optional multi-lingual keyboards
# HDTV support with optional TV tuner
# Ports: 4xUSB 2.0; 1xSerial; 1xS/PDIF out 7.1CH; 1xFireWire; 1xRF-in; 1xTV out; 1xCIR for TV remote; 1xMic-in; 1xLine-in; 1xHeadphone; 1x DVI Dual-Link; 1x RJ45 LAN; 1x RJ11 Modem

For $2200.00 usd I could get an Intel duo 2.2, 512MB Nvidia GeForce Go7950GTX (with modular interface, which lets you remove it and upgrade it or replace it yourself), 17 inch 1900x1200 screen, 120gb 7200rpm hardrive (it's good to get a 7200 rpm internal hd). I would be using an external hd for my music though. I would also add the two year warranty for $137 which is a good deal (remember to change the prices to usd if youre in the USA).

I'm just hoping that Eurocom.com is a reliable seller and that they stand behind their product. Has anyone here dealt with them before? I will have to do some research. They are located in Canada and the dollar is dropping which caused the price to go up $100.00 in the last week alone. I am hoping for a holiday sale soon. You never know.

The NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950GTX does look to be the video card to get right now though...

@ Mixmastertoy - Yes i use it to mix both audio and video with a DMC 2 out from the laptop and into a VGA splitter that sends it to two plasma screens and a video projector. No overall problems with the exceptions of some minor tweaks to vista when i first got it.

I recommend it
