Sujet: Beating VDJ??

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I have looked @ a few different apps out there in a general search and I couldn't see anything that compared to VDJ/Numark Cue. Just curious if there is really anything that compares o.O

The main DJ software solutions are Virtual DJ / Numark Cue, PCDJ, Traktor, MixVibes & Serato.

But I dont think any of the above comes close to VDJ

You forgot OTS and ableton

it really depends on what you want to do.

if you want to use external controllers pretty much the same way you would real cds or vinyl I don't think there's anything better then Serato for that one.

if you want the bells and whistles then I guess VDJ, Torq and many other software would do the trick.

Just curious, isn't OTS more of a "radio" DJ thing? And not too well set up
for club DJ's. Archaic at best?

The title of this thread is Beating VDJ???

Here’s an example of the competition VDJ

I think he meant timecode. Serato is specialized around timecode control, where you use a special signal from regular CD player or turntable, to control the software.

As far as I know, Serato support none, or few other external controllers.

Timecode is by the way also supported in VDJ, PCDJ, Traktor, Mixvibes... So pretty much a feature all have.

don't beat the vj ..... he didn't mean it .......i'll talk to 'im ........he'll never play this is why i'm hot again , i promise

In my opinion:

The best comprehensive DJ app: Virtual DJ

The best Timecode control: Serato (there are a few other new products that are very close, including the latest version of VDJ)

The best for effects: Traktor has nice filters, Pioneer DJS and Deckadance have a full and very nice range of effects.

The best new arrival: Deckadance (very hot but very young compared to VDJ)

I've been hearing alot about this BPM Studio from my mate,

How does that compare to the rest of the DJ Software available at the moment.

a "reborn" PCDJ VJ user about the new program released this week, based on VDJ technology

;)

Nahhhh, for the real dogs bo**ocks it's here :-

and here :-

I've seen several folks do this with this same exact opening but different letters. Is there a tutorial online for doing this or are folks using an exact program to do this? Vegas?

Demon Bliss, I have seen the programs you listed ( and some others listed as well ) and of course, I had not tried them all but from the screen shots and what I have read generally, I think I will be directing my efforts towards VDJ. I am using Cue LE ATM and for now, it works. One piece at a time =)
Thanx for the replies, I enjoy hearing everyones opinion(s) on this

I think you did a wise choice, and hope to see you as a full member soon ;)

One think to point out that make VDJ stand above the competition, is not only the great features and easy to use interface, but also the fact that every upgrade has been free from version 1 to current version 5....

So unlike most others, you dont have to keep rebuying the software when a new main version comes out

Cant beat that ;)
