I have owned the NuVj now for 2 and a half months and I have never gone through a night without it crashing on me. I bought a new laptop to run it... with all the right specifications and the product wont run.
Problem 1: Controller often stops working and I have to use the controllers on the computer.
Problem 2: Program freezes and I have to shut down the whole computer and restart it to get it going again.
Problem 3: It doesnt close down when it has been running for a while. Crtl, Alt, Del is the only way I can close it down.
Problem 4: every now and then it pauses, then plays, then pauses, then plays.
Problem 5: I have contacted Numark on numerous occasions and when they finally responded they asked me a few questions which I answered and now they have not bothered to contact me back at all. They have done nothing to fix my problem and now I have waisted $600 AUD on a product that doesnt run properlly.
SPECS:
Windows XP/Vista ---- I have vista
Pentium 4 2Ghz or higher --- I have a 1.7 core 2 duo processor (which is better that your standard 2Ghz)
512MB RAM ----- I have 1gb of RAM (the guy I contacted from numark said I need more ram.. Go figure!)
3D accelerated card recommended (NVidia, ATI, Intel) --- I have NVidia 7400 (the guy also told me I need another graphics card)
QuickTime 6.5.x / DirectX 9.0.b / Flash Player 7.0 (or higher) ---- have these too
STILL DOESNT RUN!!
When I sent the SPECS that were stated on the numark site, back to him, he never replied back and I still have not heard back from him. Now thats what I call good customer service.
I work using this product and have had many people in a night asking what the program is that I use. I had been giving it a good rep but I wont anymore. Not one night has gone through successfully with this product and I will be letting people know that from now on.
Is there a setting or a plug in or some sort of download or codec that will get this thing working?
Can anyone help and tell me what could be wrong and how I can get it working properly? Otherwise Im sending this thing back. All help is appreciated.

Sorry mister, you dialed the wrong number.
NuVj is a software designed by Archaos, not Atomix, so even if it's also sold by Numark, it's kind of a competitor product.
So if you're not happy with it, then maybe you should try VirtualDJ instead. It doesn't do the exact same thing, but who knows, it might fullfill your needs too.

Actually its miss... and sorry.. someone referred me to this site. Numark are no help at all and they thought i could get answers here. no worries.
