Sujet Cue crashing

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hey everyone, I just updated my main laptop to 5.0 Rev.2 and to test it i threw in about twenty videos into automix mode and let them play, three times it crashed for no apparent reason. Below is the crash guard report . Any help or insight to fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Alex

Can you reproduce it with the same videos used in automix when it crashed ?

Yeah, not every time but i'll say 9 out of 10 times the intro to a video that was ripped as a separate file off of a promo only video makes the crash happen. It is a small file with no audible audio. Could this be it ? and if so, why ?

If the size is not too big, could you upload these files somewhere. We will try to see why it crashes the software.

You can contact me by PM for the link or if you need a link.

I tested your file in automix and I don't have the crash.
Can you tell me how you reproduce it with the file you sent me.

I just remembered that when i did it i also had the random transitions on. don't know if it makes a difference. I just tried it again before typing this and the first three or four times i played that file automix would shut off on it's own. After a few repeated attempts at going to the same file it finally crashed. I have a feeling it has more to do with the video file being so short in conjunction with the random transition.

Here's the crash info.

I tried again without random transition and it crashed the first time, auto mix shut off by itself the second time.

I just tried another video folder on automix in which i have another video intro file that is similar to the one i sent you, short and with no audio. When the file was up to be played next automix shut itself off.

Are you using the last version 2.1 of my plugin "RandomVideoTransition" ?

Which settings do you use for the automix? (automix mode and length)

Posté Sun 04 Nov 07 @ 7:33 pm
Random transition is the latest, i just down loaded it yesterday, but i don't think that's the problem. It crashes even when random transition is off.
As far as auto mix it is set up as follows. Automix Type - Fade (Remove Silence) Automix Length - 4s

I am in the process or removing all the intro files from my hard drive. Once i am done i will try a full folder again and see what happens.
If you should find anything in the interim please let me know.

Thanks, Alex

1) As it appears without the plugin RandomVideoTransition, can you tell me which video transition you were using when it crashed?

2) Do you use an external controller or only the software?

Posté Sun 04 Nov 07 @ 8:41 pm
Sorry about the delay. My wife made me log off for a while. The last time it happened i was using the rhombus transition. As far as controllers go at the time it happened i was not using a external controller but when i am at work i use a DMC-2 and or a DAC-3
