For now, use the Skin creation reference for all the xml functions.

There's going to be a proper SDK? WTF, what fun is that going to be if you don't just have to figure everything out on your own?
Seriously, the forums are usually really helpful when one gets snagged... as long as you look at some other skins you can usually figure out the basics pretty easy, and then use the most relevant forum threads to fill in the holes or ask questions.
