my virtualdj freezes for one second when i drop the video files into the player. the cpu peeks out on my system then returns to normal once upload has started! maybe you could include a slow load option or a load option that starts off small then increases as the file loads.

i suggested before a fix for this. hopefully one day it will be utilized. programs like wavelab or soundforge create a small file which is the visual waveform file. generate it once and load it quickly each time after. to make that option even better, have a setting in options which specifies where these files can be found so you dont have 1mp3 and 1 wavefile, making a big mess
