I was just wanting to get an update on if there was an idea when this will completely "play nice" with VDJ. I've been on hold waiting to buy a couple of these for the last several months, but didn't want to make the purchase until I'd be able to use them. Any new news?

According to the Denon forum there is a firmware fix for vista in testing and should be released soon (possibly tomorrow at NAMM).
Hopefully they've also fixed the firmware so that it doesn't lock up if you send more than 54bytes to the leds/displays and/or in time intervals less than 5ms.
This should hopefully fix the problems with many native drivers on lots of software, not just VDJ (but most importantly :) )
If you want to read some more techie information regarding the issue check some of the other 4500 threads on this forum.
I've had one for a few months month would be nice to use it natively.
