Sujet Two Questions

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

You can answer either one.

1. Has anyone successfully used the xone 3D with Vista?

2. With all these new controllers that are coming out, I see that the only one that is rackmount is the Pioneer. Dose anyone know the reason why?

im using the xone:3d successfully and love it, but you already knew that since were pming. shame you're having problems with the eeprom m8, but since ur in the uk, its easy for you to get it fixed.

about the racks, maybe its a phase. the first cdjs were all rackmount until the kind of turntable-looking desktop cdjs came out. but it seems that the fad about imitating a turntable is a little bit dying down and it all depends how you use it. since timecode came out, you can get a feel like vinyl that comes pretty close. however, if you dont really scratch, do you really need that feel? so now reenter the rackmount with takes up much less space and affords the same controls that a desktop has without the vinyl feel whic was never really that much like vinyl anyways.

its a preference of the form fit i think. better for mobile djs, less good for turntablists who are sick of carying record crates.

Are you using the 3D with a PC on Vista?

It works! But your not going to have any luck with 64 bit vista. You need to push the new vista compatible firmware to the 3d. Then assuming your using 32bit vista then dl the ASIO drivers from www.xone.co.uk/3d

The firmware can be found in the same download section.
