JUST BOUGHT A NEW LAPTOP AND WHEN USING VIRTUAL DJ 5.0 IT RUNS AT 100% CPU WHEN LOADING TRACKS ANY IDEA HOW TO REDUCE THIS?

Its intentional, to give fastest possible track load.
But rememer, its done within reason, and VDJ will never consume more CPU power than the system have free.
And its perfectly save to have this boost load of tracks :)

the real test is to play and record a set at the same time. if you get little clicks in the recording, it generally means you drives are not spinning fast enough, in which case upgrading to 7200rpm drives is a good move.
