yes i have a harddrive with videos there all avi formate but some need a vp6 decoder to be able to open them .now those videos that need that decoder wont open with vdj .now my ? is how can i install that decoder into vdj so it can play those videos or do you suggest that i change the formate for those videos.

Go to Config -> Codecs tab, change the AVI extension to use the Windows Media Player Video Decoder now all AVI videos will be decoded by the WMP Video engine. Which if you have the appropriate codec installed on the machine, it should work. However, this is not always an absolute guarantee. There are some formats that struggle and experience issues depending on the 'abilities' of the Video card.
