In the Timecode config, there is this setting

Software RIAA Preamp

what does this mean. I've just ticked the box and my Timecode readings are now Solid at 100%, Where before the went down to 90% every now and then.

It applies the RIAA equalization curve to the input signal, emulating a hardware phono pre-amp. The curve is used to properly play back sound recorded on vinyl records.

The inverse of this curve is applied to all recorded audio printed to vinyl. The inverse curve attenuates lower frequencies (which are typically of higher amplitude than the upper ranges of sound) and amplifies upper frequencies for various reasons relating to the drawbacks of vinyl sound reproduction technology.

Thanks Khyew,

Interesting reading, but most of it goes over my head, lol.

All I know, it's made my timecode solid.
