don't change the USB port or install the drivers as administrator

Yes it's very important to always use the same USB port per device.

"- new engine "PCDJ" compatible with most miss pinky-based timecode records "
That's rather vague - could anyone confirm or deny that VDJ v5.1 works with Miss Pinky v2 vinyls?
(if it makes any difference - yes, they're pink :D )

What is the best way in 5.1 to get a full screen? I need 1280x800 for my laptop, is there any new skins or whatever. I just like the plain old full mixer skin.

Yep have to say been using VDJ 5.1 for a while now and it's great - nice and rock solid....not had a single issue yet...
Well actually that's a lie... The new skin is great - well will be once the new skin changes are made that were discussed a while back BUT the new skin is not touch screen compatible.. the play / pause / cue are just WAY to small for touch screen use... :(
on the new skin as mentioned before (adding the video previews where the turntables are when you click on video) can we have bigger buttons please too.. i know it's probably just my fat fingers but im sure there are lots of fat fingered people around :)
But other than that slight issue as usual VDJ is the best!
