Yeah the other decks don't have to have video, but if they can great.
OK for all the other people that couldn't understand or appreciate why we would want to be able to work this way you can have a look at this video if you like. This is kind of like the way I like to work.
Actually discovering this video is making me go back and look at Traktor which I didn't like before, now it looks good.

Yeah spool32 thas ok but some of us out there need to be able to put 3 tracks in the mix at the same time, independantly, eg:
first track, deck 1. accapella, deck 2. then second track deck 3.
that way you can do fantastic mashups on the fly like being able to mix the two backing tracks behind the accapella if you get what i mean,
this is why we need to be able to route the 3 deck through the headphone out, or a seperate sound card.

Yes third deck is needed...
Great point. This would be the main 'way' you would want to use the thrid deck, have its own dedicated channel so can as you said keep the acapella playing throughout both tracks if you like.!

Every club that I dj at has at least three Pioneer CDJ 1000's and three Turntables; sometimes four. It makes so much sense to have three playback sources on the computer as well. Three makes programming so much easier and more enjoyable. I would love to see VDJ have this as a main feature.

4 decks ... withw the audio 8 sound card would be crazy ............... i tried the multi instance thing but u need 2 independent sound cards to run this and vdj open once with 4 decks would be much helpfull
