Sujet Compatability/Driver issue with ITunes

If I I open VDJ while Itunes is playing a song the result is no sound.

If I open Itunes while VDJ is playing asong the result is no sound.

restarting the application i'd like to use fixes it

Is there a setting that will let allow VDJ to play regardless if Itunes is open or not?
