Sujet Video Delay Settings

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Well, I suppose the topic was a little misleading. At one of my residencies, the setup I do consists of S-video out to a box that pushes the signal over coax 100ft to a VCR that converts it back to component, which is then fed into what I just call pusher boxes (they take tons of component in's and assign them a high channel number like 125 so the tvs can all be individually tuned.

Now all this has the shitty effect of delaying the video from the audio by a little bit. Now I might just be more "in tune", having a video editing background, but it seems to me that it would be nice to have a function that did not delay the audio, but accelerated the video output by a set number of frames. I estimate that the video in this spot is about 300ms off. Assuming video is running at 30fps (lets keep it simple), this would be about 9 frames.

Any thoughts?

I've teasted a bunch of SVGA -to-composit converters and most of the cheap ones have about a 2 to 3 second delay at 6'.
very bad for music videos
