if i use virtual dj home or cue....would i be able to use serato time coded vinyls or only the time coded vinyls that are on sale at the virtual dj site (or any other in fact)?

You can only use VirtualDJ TCV's or Numark Cue TCV's with the Home version, also there is a time limited aswell.
If you want to use Serato's TCV's you will have to upgrade to the Pro version, 5.2 as this version has now the noise map engine that serato TCV are based on.
