improve cpu usage when scratching. in all versions, any scratching causes the cpu meter to increase rapidly.

It's normal that scratching would use up some cpu, it is a more demanding task.
But in my case, however heavy or long the scratch is, CPU stays below 4%...

What are you using for scratch settings, and on what spec machine?
I've not noticed any real impact when scratching. Even scratching video doesn't seem to have much of a hit?
