Tofu has Dj’ed till the cows have literally come home at festivals like Glastonbury (he runs Shangri La, I programmed Lost Vagueness Music), Bestival, Boomtown , Big Chill, Sydney Festival, Woodford Festival and Secret Garden to many too list Hes found in Venues from the Brixton Academy to nice haunts like his own Electro Swing Club in Shoreditch to Bouncy Stonehenge Sculptures.
THE VINTAGE REMIX Sounds of the 1920s to 50s Remixed This is where all ancient music’s clash with the music of now. Along with Nick Hollywood at Freshly Squeezed , Tofu is constantly surfing the treasure chest of so much Bakelite for gems that can and have been sensitively reworked from mellow dellow to drum and bass. He has released many successful compilations and unusually for most Dj s will create vast stages and events around completely unheard of new hybrids with his company Continental Drifts . He was one of the first Electro Swing Djs on the planet and is really seen as a pioneer of that.
Tofu has added vast shows to his Dj set from full can- can troupes to 10 piece horn sections and complete speakeasys with casts of hundreds with White Mink and Lost Vagueness .
Beyond everything Tofu loves to make the vibe as explosive and warm as possible and thousands of people will testify to that . .
