Sujet Importing Serato Cue points to VDJ? - Page: 2

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

going into a gig minus cue points with several thousand files is not an options....lol

I guess I'll slowly work my way thru my files and set up cue points for VDJ....It'll probably be this time in TWO years before I'm able to go out and do gigs with VDJ 8...would be RIGHT NOW if it read Serato's cue's.....

Serato DJ plus, the video plugin and my NS7II get the job done so it's all good...juss wishful thinking I guess!

The problem is that it's just not the idea that Serato has. They crypted the CUE points in some way to prevent you from moving to another Software. No idea how they code it but i will have a look.

The V2 put thru Base64

Sorry, what I didn't say clearly is
that if you run a decode part through the decoder again you get the stuff that starts to make sense like field headers like color and the 4 cues.

Scot could you give some more info on the V2 track,
What colour is it, I have 3 possibles A greyish blue, grey or a pale green
Also the 4 cue points (there are 4 right?)
What can you tell about them, all info you can, position in time &| position in beats, track sample rate, bpm, are they all cues or are some loops

@Loco, how did you get the info you've gotten so far??

I took Scots V2 string decoded from base 64 to ASCII, Removed the stuff that made sense and decoded the rest from base 64 again, that gave me the COLOR and 4 CUE headings,

Stabs at the colour are made on the assumption that it is there in Hex format with no further coding, but without knowing the actual colour they are just pot shots

Furthermore and unwritten, I've looked at how the code for each cue is written (at the first level of decoding), discarded the constant stuff, ( and on the presumption that it becomes number at this point) I think I've found something that relates to a cue numbering system (it goes 0 1 2 3 in order), also a end opcode (perhaps the wrong word but it's close to that meaning) for where there are no more cues to read,

I've also got numbers that I think relate to the sample frame that the hotcue sits on, but it just isn't possible to know if I'm right without info about the cues, or a bigger code sample of 1. If I can check I'll post what I have in more detail if correct.

Is it possible for mods to either break up my post with the page breaking string
or just delete it so this thread is readable / editable again.

It looks/works OK in Chrome FYI.

On firefox the automatic brakelining doesn't work so only 3/4 of the width is visible, I would have edited the post myself but the button is in the invisible bit.

Maybe Scott's busy, if some one else could post maybe 5 V2 serato tags (to dropbox or something like that), with info like I asked from Scott 6 posts above.
With the code, knowning part of the key and having the real information this should be easily crackable.

I think Scott is very busy at the moment so maybe someone else could share a test file with a few cue points.

Please also post a list with the names, exact positions and different used colors so there is a bit to work with.
