Sujet Specific Sound Laterncy

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

So i use Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) to create a virtual line-in for shairport4w with a movie running on my iPhone over airplay. This way the sound goes through, and i can watch a video on my iPhone, but to perfect the sync i need a delay around 3-4, and in the performance tab only gives me the two choices : 2ms and 5ms. Any way to specify a custom latency?

Sorry but what on earth are you talking about? Has this got anything to do with VDJ?

The delay you refer to (latency settings) has nothing to do with the delay of audio versus video or any "delay" at all.
The latency settings are specific to the soundcard you're using and they determine the audio buffer of the card.
In simple terms, LATENCY is the "delay" between pressing a button on your screen and the soundcard response to this event. (The soundcard must fill it's audio buffer before it starts transmitting the sound)
