Sujet Display of track numbers

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi,

all my tracks are stored as m4a = ALAC. In the tags I have set the track number as two digits, like 01, 02, 03...

You have now added the track number display, but it doesn't show these track numbers.

If I change them to 1, 2, 3, they are displayed. Maybe the problem is, that the 01, 02, 03 are strings and not integer values in the tag.

Regards
Axel

Please don't open multiple threads for the same issue.

As soon as some has an answer they will reply.

Seems to be fixed now in Version 1793.659.

Even if we have waited a long time and we began to lost the hope on VDJ8, I must say that the VDJ8 is now really a good thing and that it was worth the time to wait.

Correction: Seems not to work on all files.

Sorry, I was too fast.

The track numbers like 01, 02 work well at MP3 files, but do NOT work at m4a files.

What do the track numbers of your m4a files look like?

They are numbered like 01, 02, 03... I can see that in Mp3Tag or DBPowerAmp.

VirtualDJ8 doesn't recognize that field - it is empty.

In general I am not married with m4a - I don't have any apple stuff, but the other lossless formats like FLAC were also not supported by VDJ correctly.

What is your problem with FLAC ? Starting with v8 there should be full support for them including Tags.

Ok, fine, but I have about 12000 tracks before VDJ8 was published.

Even if I would convert all my files to FLAC, the VDJ8 database would be lost as the filenames have changed the extension.

Could you share one of the m4a files that vdj couldn't read the track number from?

Now it works perfect with build 1820.

Thanks.

I am still having issues with some M4A files not showing track number on build 1820.
