Got this message below off a skin designer. Does that mean you are updating the mapper soon, as thats what i was told on a pm?

Yes we have been quiet for a bit, but this is only because we have been busy building skins

However, work has slowed down on the DDJ-SX2 skin, this is because the current map is not quite there yet. So for those waiting on this skin, as soon as the map is 100% the skin will follow shortly after it. To keep us busy during this time, we have started on a dedicated four deck video skin called Chroma, we will release some screenshots shortly.

Got the sx2. Lovely build etc so happy with that.
Tried it out with vdj8. Yes it kinda works but it's far from smooth operation. Led's still flashing and indicating a track is still playing when it's stopped is just an example.
I updated the firmware on the unit and VDJ is running the latest release so all good there.
I take it there are no device drivers on the pioneer site I need as when I looked I could only see them for Pc's.

Oh tried out Serato, in my eyes it doesn't come close to VDJ. Seems more focused on night club DJing. Search function is terrible.

How do you switch off demo mode on the sx2?
 
Not really sure but try to hold shift+play button while turn the ddj sx on to disable demo mode.
 
Page 23 of your SX2 manual.

You need to start the unit in "Change Settings Mode"
Hold down SHIFT+PLAY/PAUSE buttons on left side and power on the unit.
Release SHIFT+PLAY/PUSE
Press the "Autoloop" button on RIGHT side until the "LOOP 1/2" button is ON
Power off the unit.

I'm thinking i have maybe lost the plot here but i can't find the english user manual for the sx2 on the pioneer site. got the quick start etc but not the user manual.

any help would be great.

Using ddjsx2 under Mac with last VDJ version.
Is possible timecode with sx2 and VDJ 8?
If yes? how can i setup it?

Whith serato you can use DVS with sx2 (After paying taxes)

Hey guys!
Is it right that I can´t use the SX2 with a 7.X version of virtual dj until today?
Is there any solution in progress or do I have to upgrade to 8.X ?

The SX2 is not supported in version 7,so you will have to use VirtualDJ 8 with it.
Keep in mind that both versions can co-exist, so you don't have to uninstall version 7 and you will still be able to use it anytime you want.
 
Hello DjDad, you posted on 18th Sep 2014, there will be a mapper vor DDJ-SX2 for VDj7 soon availabe. Now, more than a half year is over and i wanna know how's the status about this issue? Thanks and regards, Armin.
 
There will be no mapper for V7.
At least, not an official one from Atomix.

Never said support will be provided for version 7. Care to point my post ?
 
Hi guys,

Might be wrong thread but cant get video sampler with VDJ 8 to work with Pioneer DDJ SX? Video output is perfect but none of my samplers will work. They work perfectly with CDJ400s and CDJ-2000s with stand alone mixer. Any suggestions?

Maybe you have the SAMPLER knob down ? Keep in mind that the Volume (Master or per Slot) of the Sampler affects the brightness of the Sampler Video Output.
 
Hi guys,
The last time I messaged I was told that the team had an sx2 for just after the start of May to carry out a native mapper with all glitches ironed out.

I was just wondering how this was getting on.

Serato is driving me nuts lol
