I have a Hecules rmx that I use, I ported it over from vdj7 to vdj8 and everything works fine except getting the jog wheels to work for effects.
In VDJ7 this was my code
deck 1 effect active ? action_deck 1 ? deck 1 effect slider 1 : deck 1 effect slider 2 : deck 2 effect active ? action_deck 1 ? deck 2 effect slider 1 : deck 2 effect slider 2 : jogwheel
So, What this does is fairly obvious, yet i'm obvious to maping, I will explain what i'm after and whats not working.
Desired effect: Use the jog wheel to control the effects knobs for the effects for the active deck. This worked perfectly in VDJ7 (credit to someone else) but I've yet to see one for VDJ8.
My issues: currently it only works on deck 1, and both jog wheels control effect knob 1 (left jog should be left knob, right jog right knob) If I'm on my left deck it will not control any knobs.
Hopefully its an easy fix, and while i continue to look for an answer, i hope someone here can help. Thank you.

I have also tried using this:
deck active effect active ? action_deck 'left' ? deck active effect slider 1 : deck active effect slider 2 : jogwheel
Which will cause only the right Jog wheel to work, but this does work on the proper active deck, which may be closer to my end goal if this can help anyone help me.

Thanks DJdad, this gets me to have left deck with the left parameter effects knob, and the right deck with the right parameter effects knob.
Yet i can't use both effects parameter knobs at once on either deck.
Not sure why!

I think i might have fixed the problem.. I ordered a RMX2 to replace my RMX.

Hi in stephen from ABU- DHABI i bought an aHuculese instict p8 and i want to re -map it on virtual dj 8 so far i ve mapped most of the buttons but ive failed to map the LEDS, JOG WHEELS, UPPER FADERS,CROSSFADERS, can any one help me in mapping these ?
