Sujet Removing Missing files from Search DB
Is remove Missing files working .. or is it just my install.

I noticed I have currently about 200 missing files.
found by using filter folder: Exists = 0
I then select all and choose remove from search DB they do disappear till I restart VDJ.

2nd way: from Browsers Options menu dot: Database > Remove missing files from search database

same result.. the missing files return after a restart of VDJ.

PS
I have no issue writing to the database.. I can create hotcues etc and they exist after a VDJ restart.

Yes, if I rename my History folder.. I can remove the missing files from the search DB and they do not reappear after restarting VDJ..

shouldn't the remove missing files work with history to not continue to show the missing files?
(how does one go about removing the files from history?)

Or is my history somehow not correct.. (if so how would go about repairing it)

History seems to works perfectly when viewing from within VDJ

Remove missing files from search db should prevent these files from showing up in searches.
Do you still find these tracks when searching?

The only time you should see these entries is when explicitly creating a filter folder with Exists=0, or when you actually browse the playlist/history folder that these files are still in. (But they should be marked as not available there as well)

Thank you Adion

think I was more concerned then needed to be.
(wanting everything to be orderly)

As you say .. they are do not show up in searches.
can be removed from any virtual folders etc,

thanks for opening my eyes to the actual reality.
(they are not a big deal)
