Hi Everyone
Wonder if anyone could help me
while my singer is singing a karaoke song within the intro some ask me to drop or raise the key because they forgot at the start. In the older versions of Vdj we could drop the key and the song would continue to the end without restarting. But in my 2020 onwards when I change the key whilst they are singing it goes back and starts again. frustrating. I know it don't always sound good but I usually do it during the intro because they forgot to ask. Any help would be apricated
Many Thanks Maggieg

how are you changing key? Is there any external factor like it being a zipped file.
I don't run karaoke but I've experimented lots and changing key has never offered problems.

If you use the "KEYCUE" pad page to change the key of a track, then you're using the wrong tool.
"KEYCUE" is meant to be an effect, and yes, it returns the track to the assigned hotcue on every press. IT'S MEANT to work that way,
If all you want to do is to change the key, then you should use the small arrows on VirtualDJ GUI instead.
