14 January update on mobile app. Now not showing files . Huge problem, please update,this could cost me a job tonight if I can't come up with a fix. Why did they even mess with it?

Not sure what update you're talking about - it was last updated May 28, 2024 with Version 8.0.46 - and can only guess you're using the VirtualDJ Remote app - maybe look at the app's version information so there's some information to go on?
and not sure how it would be costing a non-licenses home user a job when you don't have a Pro license so you can't use professionally to make money.

With beta tester access, last version of remote is 8.0.52 for android (14 January 2025) and 8.4.8195 for ios

8.0.52 is a beta release though, so if you don't want that you can opt out from beta releases in the play store

installed app, restarted phone (S24 Ultra - everything up to date on it)
now
folder music library not showing files
files empty
sampler not showing files
automix showing files
sideview/sidelist IS showing files
play button not showing on deck player screen.
rotating screen makes controls disappear and only waveform and a few other things visible
all in all... this is not ideal. Charging tablet (forgot to plug it in and sat in bag for a week) to see if any difference.

I'm doubling down on this too - The latest Beta of VirtualDJ Remote (Jan 14th, 2025) seems to be very broken (I'm using it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510)):
I'm using it with Virtual Dj b2025-m b8502.
The previous version at least had proper display of Remote folders and files, and some proper sideview functionality.
Also not sure if this is the right place to be reporting the Beta issues - please let us know if there is a more direct/private channel for this since it is a Beta.
- Icons for the settings cog, PFL, Play/Pause seem to be incorrectly displayed (there is no graphic within them)
- The browser section is completely broken
- The browser below shows Folders, Files and Sideview as tabs, and none of them display anything from the remote
- The Folders tab asks for files and media permissions on the device (which I granted), but then that didn't result in any update of the display at all.
Files and Sideview were blank too

menu buttons have weird behavior too - showing video and music already but they're unchecked when first installed. that was confusing.
and can confirm same issues with tablet - it's not a great tablet. just an el cheapo amazon special because i broke my Tab 10 and needed a fast cheap replacement, but it has run the non-beta VDJ remote app just fine.

@Adion I can confirm that the new update of today (January 19th, 2025) has resolved the issues mentioned before with the browser and icon display.
The remote folder refresh still doesn't auto-update for folders outside of the Automix and Linked folders, but this was noted/known before and I assume that's being worked on.
