Dont have the BCD2000 unfortunately.. But I guess you mean a slider/knob for that function.
Try to map it to the headphone_mix function

but I don't know which CTRL or NOTE it is.
I dnt really know how to program MIDI notes
But I know how to use the Midi CONFIG and I could try.

Yes, try the midi config ;)
Locate the headphone_mix shortcut, and asign vaule, then turn the knob/slider on the BCD2000 to map it.
If that did not work, hopefully some of our BCD2000 users can help more regarding the XML mapper for this function

okay, great..
worked...
now for the LIGHTS.
Is there anyway that I could just press the buttons?
coz sometimes i have to press the buttons twice to enable and disable it.

Some VIP members are working on LED fixing...
And probably Dev Team too.
As of now (to my knowledge), the LEDs will probably have to be like they are, until hopefully resolved by new mapper or VDJ upgrade fix real soon.
Hope you can live with that, until solution is available.
Glad the rest works good:)

one more problem.
whenever I kill a Tone, I don't hear it on the Headphones change but It changes on the master.
Any fix for that? :)

I am trying but I believe there is no way of achieving that.

Same problem with Hercules console mk1, unfortunately.
Headphone EQ-ing with VDj4 seems not working, probably something we overlooked in the beta-testing. But its reported to Dev Team, and adressed for 4.1..

hey dj-in norway I have noticed that when you are playing for a while with the TCV using the bcd as ASIO mode you do not have problems with audio o any kind of problems at all but after a while if you decide to play video then thre VDJ gets frozen (not all time) also I do not know if some body else has this problem also but in some videos the sound is not so good as music is, so I think would be a good idea to tell about to the DEV TEAM for new relases.

Ok, back from work. I've tried the Mic-In before the lessons i gave this afternoon. No way, this is still not working, even with the Asio-Drivers. Just to make it clear, i dont use TCV's or whatever they are called. I just need the Mic for my work. So if there could be a way to teach VDJ that there is a Mic-In which could be used :)

This Thread is way too popular, how come it is not a sticky? At least while all the problems are resolved or 4.1 is out ;)

yes julio working with videos it gets frozen, they are the samples effects and video effects but only when they are assigned to bcd's buttoms, video transitions work fine, I think is something related with the midi program.

Hi everybody, first of all thanx with out you i coud never reach this point on vdj+bcd2000, after many tryouts of cleaning my system of midi yoke booms old bcd drivers and vdj i finally got it, i want to say the steps so people dont have to read the whole post like i did hahaha.
1 uninstall VDJ, behringer, xylio, and the midi translators used for vdj 3.4
2 clean old file folders from that programs
3 clean the registry (search for virtual dj, behringer, bcd2000, xylio etc.)
4 install bcd2000 drivers. (dont touch the configuration after install, that will make you start again.
5 install bcd2000 update (get it on behringers web page, and again, don't mess with configuration)
6 install vdj 4
7 load the midi presets, that will make the bcd to almost fully work. (ill write about it later)
8 on sound setup select: no input (for the moment), output: headphones, soundcard: bcd200 asio (don't touch the configuration button trust me, it will open the behringer's config utility and will mess everything)
9 select 1&2 master 3&4 headphones
you should be able to hear the active deck on the headphones, have the music playing and use almos every button on the bcd
i found minor buttons missing but it is not a program or hardware problem it is just that they dont have a function assigned let your imagination fly, i did the next:
1 changed the bend buttons from nudge to bend
2 assigned the search buttons to skip buttons, you can use as search if you want, it works
3 assigned the mic buttons for search and load functions
4 assigned the analog inputs to select the active deck and to enable disable timecode
5 assigned the headphone mix knob to that function
6 assigned the split button to enable auto mix
those are only sugestions and worked fine for me,i alsso want to say that i hooked up the time coded cds and they worked even knowing tha the a input of the bcd is a phono input maybe i pushed to much
after that and several night of no sleeping, i was happy to have the thing working, and then it freezes
i read something about that it freezes with the video but i was only playing music, any way i did the performance settings correction (disable safemode, set latency to auto) and that worked i'm still testing i'll let you guys know,
i have this other question maybe someone can help me
i hear a funny sound during playback, maybe it is just me going deaf LOL, it is like when you use master tempo and you raise the pitch too much, i hope you get what i'm trying to say, anyone has a solution?
well thats all of course i can't take the credit for the solutions, i cant remember the names of all of the contributors.(there were many) i just want to save some reading for people that started to read the post from the last page LOL.
sorry for my awful english i swear my spanish is better. and as we say here in mexico dont make fun of my english and i won't make fun of your spanish.
BTW. i'll love to be a beta tester
tanx everybody

Hi raul_cun,
thx for the work you did writíng all the tips down in one post. By switching ASIO to AUTO first, your post propably could have been a lot shorter ;)
On my Laptop both verisons run side by side. The old one with MIDI-Yoke & MIDI-Translator and the new one without. The key to get the ASIO-Drivers on work seems to be (in my case) the latency settings in VDJ. So cleaning up your registry and all those thing are not really neccesary. Are the BCD-inputs usable for a"real" input like a CD-Player or Phono? Like a real line in?
Bye Tanzi

Yeah I agree with Tanzi. There is no need to do a re-install of everything, when I found it I was playing around with the bcd2000 WDM drivers then went onto using the ASIO drivers shortly afterwards. When I found the Auto latency setting I didnt re-install and it just started working.

ok, 2nd try:
Recognises VDJ the secondary BCD inputs as real inputs so that i can use an additional CD-player?

I've been reading this thread for sometime now and have not experienced any of the problems a lot of people are having. Everything works including the headphones, videos, etc.. and the sound is outstanding. Can't get the Microphone to work, nor the lights, but have another mixer to workaround the mic issue. Anyway, thanks for the new release. I like it better than 3.4.
