I do mobile and club work for the past 3.5 years i'm only 18 a senior in high school and use totally vdj...its the best i love being able to mix have video, abilty to record, and just do things the other programs such as pcdj and ssl cant do.....thanxs for having an awesome program.....

Hello all!
DJ Joey G here. I am from Westerly RI in the USA. I DJed my first schoool dance at 13 (that was 19 years ago). I have been using VDJ for over two years now and it rocks! I have the XP10s in my rack and I use the Hercules MK2 at the club. I DJ full time and perform mostly at weddings besides the club work.

I started Djing October 2006 with VDJ in Japan. I hadn't really used turntables before, but really wanted to play music for people at clubs so I invested in VDJ for my laptop. I also use the Herc MK2.
I DJ at clubs usually once a week, playing a wide variety of music I love: house, techno, hiphop, rnb, drum n bass, funk, disco, and occassionally rock/punk. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
I don't get any money for DJing yet, but I'm still just a beginner and I mix in a smallish city, and I guess Japan has it's way of doing things. Rather than get money for being asked to play for at a club, I think renting a club yourself, organizing an event with other DJs and charging for entrance and drinks is probably the best way to make some cash from DJing here...
My favorite tune at the mo: Vinylshakerz - "One Night in Bangkok" :)

I am just south of Chicago IL USA, I own three systems. Two of us are using Cue, the third is still using CDs. I started DJing in 1983, with Techinics 700 TT, and quickley switched to the 1200s. My mobile company can be seen at www.positivespinmusic.com. As of this moment I own a CDN88, a CDN 90 and, two iCDXs all from Numark. My mixers are, one American Audio Q2422MKII, one PPD9000 mixer(Numark) and, one DXM01 mixer (Numark) and a BCD2000 Behringer. We do Teen dances every friday night, and weddings almost every weekend. My speakers are Mackie SRM450s (2), Peavey Impulse 1015p (2) an Impulse 115p subwoofer, and my third set of speakers are Yamaha 15" with a Tapco 1400 watt amp. I also own three FBQ1502 EQs from Behringer. I have only been using Cue for about four months now, but so far I love it. It works well with the iCDX and the BCD2000. I still bring my CDs, I only open one case of them though, just in case my PC crashes.

I play the clubs in south florida (fort lauderdale, miami) Odly enough I think i'm the ONLY local who plays VDJ proudly on my laptop (i did go back to vdj3.4 though.. 4.2 just wasn't different enough to compensate for the extra agrevation) having said that, i have played for 12 hrs NONSTOP using 3.4 with out one single hick up!! and i will argue the "apple" vs "pc" all day long.. my pc (3 yrs old now) performs day in and day out above and beyond any expectations.. apple and ableton??..lol
besides the endless possabileties with the laptop and vdj why not "adapt" to the future.. give it a few more years and vinyl will be a thing of the past, just like cd's and cassettes
