Oh, I guess you must be talking to me, since I have a (Mac Beta Tester) tag on me.
I say it's ready for release real soon. Not sure why it hasn't dropped yet. Probably just putting the final polish on it.

Definite advantages to being a VDJ user since what, version 1.x, I believe you said? How many years is that? (seriously,I'm just wondering). =)
I like my Mac Ambassador title considering I haven't even been a VDJ user for a year yet (almost!) but have had many Mac question/issue related threads, posts, and PM's directed to me personally since mid-last year. It's re-assuring to know that I've established myself as the Mac "go to" guy here, despite not being a beta tester. ;)
Mine and my crews/friends/partners BIG contributions to Atomix/Numark VDJ/VV's adoption come after the product is available to the public when sales and marketshare (more accurately, "installed base") become the most important factors and determine the products future.
Please finish up your job - not talking to you directly anewsome ;) - so that we can do ours as public relations on a broad scale! =)

not very long. remember, vdj development moves very fast. my first time playing a real party with vdj was late in 2004, so i guess it's been a little while now. that party was done with my desktop tower PC, a 15 inch behemorh of a monitor that i had to carry around and of course my trusty hercules dj console.
i actually had two crashes at that first party and after many flamefests with forum users telling me my hardware was bad (it wasn't), steph finally identified the bug sometime in late feb 2004 and fixed it (the infamous scratch bug).
now that's some history for you.
btw, the only reason i was using version 1.09 was that it came bundled with my hercules dj console so that's all i had. it was pretty limited in what it could do so i quickly upgraded to version 2, full version. i went on to do a whole slew of gigs with VDJ,.. long before serato was even on the map.

Oh, I thought it was earlier in the 2k's since I thought VDJ had been around that long.
Like 5 years or so.

Posté Fri 16 Mar 07 @ 1:54 pm

Posté Fri 16 Mar 07 @ 2:37 pm

Tell your Mac that it's display will go out if it keeps playing with it's widgets.

HEY CONQUEST, THIS IS MY KIND OF FORUM! HEHE .... LOL LET ME START AND ASK THE SAME QUESTION OVER AND OVER AGAIN. ... Like a child in the back seat of a car ... "Are we there yet, are we there yet?" .
and the over and over again part, DONT WORRY ... I was only kidding ;-)
---Honestty everyone, I have bugged the hell out of these people ... to the point where they told me to SHUT UP DAMNIT! ... (but in a nice professional way of course) .... They are going to give the same answer, basically "it's ready when it's ready" and "it's coming real soon" ... NOT EVEN CONQUEST can give a date, he is the "Macologist" on VDJ and hes not even doing the beta testing.
**ALSO Teaners and Beta Testers, Can you please make sure in this one that the camera part works. I was told that the camera portion (where you can hook a video camera via DV port and mix live video with music videos) doesn't work by tech support. (PC Version) <-- If this has been corrected, please let me know

As wrote on other POST:
Hi!
There are many POSTs about when we'll have the MAC version of VirtualDJ.
Why don't we STICK one, so new people can see it and don't create more with same TOPIC?
I found this:

http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/66104/MAC_Version_Technical_Support/VDJ_MAC_Version_release_question.html

http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/66463/MAC_Version_Technical_Support/Virtual_DJ_Release_Date.html
I suggest to STICK the last one, because has a more generic name:
