I have a potential gig with all videos. I'm trying to handle it with what I have. I have a 1.5 laptop and a 1.8 tower. I'd rather use the laptop naturally. I know VDJ has their specifications for min. and recommended. I'm above the min. but is their min. for video too or just mp3?

idealy you want 1.5 ghz or greater processor 1gb ram and 256mb video or better

not at all most laptops in the last year or two have come with this spec.
you can get it to run on less but the results can be jittery

If I were you I would skip the laptop and soop up the desktop (ie. max memory allowed and a kick ass video card)
