Sujet: Is there a huge difference in Sound Quality between ASIO and WDM?

I use the Hercules DJ counsel, If I am just recording a set to my hard drive do I need to use the ASIO drivers? Is the sound marginally different I cant tell.

its of a higher quality yes aslo asio is needed for timecode if you use that.
 
you can tell the sound quality difference alot if you scratch try running over a song slowly in WDM mode
it sounds digitized.... much better in asio.
