plugged it in updated vdj to latest version 3.4.1 no sound through the pc speakers
am i supposed to plug and amp into the console then speaker into the amp to get sound out?

just starting home studio yes
i have both a desktop and laptop when i load hercules on the desktop there latest driver mess my current drivers up so win amp wont play
what is the mapper for ?
what is the timecode for?

no worries its good to ask :)
timecodes are special records that have a code on them
so when you stractch it does so aslo on the software
as a home user your limited to a 5 minute demo of these
the mapper adjusts the actions of the buttons in vdj pro
for a home studio you should get a small amp such as a hifi amp
and a pair of monitor speakers
however most computer speakers support phono inputs if you replace the mini jack cable to your speakers with double phono it will work
