Sujet VDJ 4.3 and Sound distortion!!

Hi I have a Toshiba Laptop and a Audigy 2 ZS notebook running Virtual Dj 4.3 on Vista. I am currently experience a decrease in sound quality as the night goes on. I play to 2500 people so it does not look(sound) good. Can anyone help!!!

go to options > performances

and set to fastest

"auto latency"

and untick safe mode

Does this reduce the sound quality! Why is this happening!

Yes, because for good sound quality you need a good machine ;)

the ram is just above the base requirments for vista , you need to dissable all of the vissual effects in vista set it to windows classic , because all of that is using up all the resources.

you should aslo consider getting 2 gb of ram or more

as virtual dj or any music program needs ram to decode the audio

aslo as you have a shared graphics card a whole chunk is aslo being used for your video cards memory

Okay. Thanks for the info. What settings would you recommend in the performance settings. Has 4.3 become very CPU hungry.

With your machine you can go on max quality for sure, you should consider 2Gb of ram as Simon suggested. Just a little tweaking you should apply, you have the tutorial in SkyFxl's blog:

I have respect mate but when someones reply is saying the obvious and nothing constructive its not a great help. But I am sotrry if I insulted you mate. Thanks for the input. I just ordered 2gig of ram.

In Skys blog it says there is a problem with the Audigy 2 ZS drivers. Would this still be the case even though I downloaded the latest drivers of the Creative website

Yes, remove Creative drivers and install KX Project.

Thanks Alf! I was on the creative website and apparantly they are having serious problems with the drivers for my card. The KX project drivers I tried to install not sure how to!! Might buy a new card for my notebook any Ideas for a good Vista compatible card might have to buy 4 for all the dJs!!

or perhaps numark virtual vinyl

the dj console mk2 will aslo work if you need a controler while your at it :)

Have a U46DJ but couldnt install it right. Plus its not 24bit sound.
