Is version 5 harder on the cpu/ram than 4 or the same or better? Before I install.

Hey there!

Good to see a fellow "Doc" on the forums :D

I've been doing some preliminary testing, and I think it's about the same as v4, if not better. For example, just for kicks, I went ahead and set the performance slider as far to the right as it would go, and so far no problems at all. Used to have a bit of trouble with this setting in v4.

It should be a little bit better in V5.0 because there were some improvements in the sound engine.

In VDJ 4 I used to sometimes get a small halt in a video that was playing when I loaded another video into the other deck- it's gone now with versioin 5!

Hi, i need to run VDJ 5 at much higher latency then VDJ 4 i dont understand how this can not be a case of higher tax on the system... here my specs (i need to run at 23ms, instead of 5/11ms as before)

Mac Book Pro 2.4gb 2gb Ram
Motu Connectiv
Pioneer DMJ800 (midi connected)
Denon 3500's for the TCCD's (relative mode)
External FW800 Hardrive

Any suggestions on setup tweaks are welcome... i kept initially the same settings as i had before, but a lot of stuttering was happing..
