if its set up for active deck then it will controll whatevers not moniterd

Yes , it will allow a single time code to control two decks.
In config just choose single time code and then you can choose which deck you would like the timecode to apply to by pressing the timecode button under the deck you wish to control on screen.
For best results choose smart mode in timecode config.
